Shiva, the masculine aspect, and Parvati, the feminine, represent the balance of dualities in our lives. Purusha (pure consciousness) and Prakriti (things of the world) symbolize our left and right brain principles. This relationship takes place within our bodies but also within the world around us. Students will explore how we can apply these qualities in our lives, on and off the mat, to find balance and peace of mind. The afternoon will include storytelling and movement.
$55/$65 after 1/20

Sunday Afternoon, 1 – 4 pm
Kali and Durga are Goddesses that relate to the family of Shiva. Kali represents the female warrior energy that is found in the warrior poses. Durga represents that energy that is so powerful that it does not attract negativity. Students will investigate how Kali and Durga relate with one another and how to minimize conflicts in our lives through the knowledge of the symbolism of these two Goddesses. The afternoon will include storytelling, sound and movement.
